Hey, I'm Nirmal.
Welcome to my blog. I’m really glad you’re here.
My journey with anime probably started like many
others, watching shows after school, captivated by the epic battles and
larger-than-life characters. Growing up in Nepal, these stories felt like a
secret world, a window into incredible new landscapes of imagination.
But as I got older, something shifted. The "wow,
cool fight!" moments started to be replaced by "wow, what an
incredible idea." I found myself drawn to the quieter, more complex
series. The ones that weren't just about winning a battle but about the scars,
the philosophy, and the psychology of the characters involved.
Shows like Naruto, Vinland Saga, and Attack on Titan completely changed the game for me. I became less interested in a character's
power level and more obsessed with the landscape of their mind. What drives a
person to become a hero? More fascinatingly, what drives someone to become a
villain? What is the internal logic, the pain, or the profound belief that
fuels their actions?
This is why I created "Exploring the Mind's
Landscape."
This blog is my space to explore those very questions.
It's a journal for my deep dives into the themes, characters, and ideas that
make anime such a powerful and thought-provoking art form. It's where I connect
the dots, ask big questions, and simply appreciate the brilliant storytelling
that resonates with me on a deep level.
I'm not a professional critic; I'm just a passionate
fan who loves to think and write about this stuff. My hope is that this blog
will connect me with a community of others who enjoy looking beyond the
surface.
So please, don't be a stranger. If a post makes you
think, or if you completely disagree with my take, I want to hear about it in
the comments.
Thanks for reading.
